Roanoke River Greenway
The Roanoke River Greenway is the main artery of the Roanoke Valley Greenway System, offering nearly ten miles of paved trail within the City of Roanoke. The greenway follows its namesake river from west to east through the valley, passing through Vic Thomas Park, Wasena Park, Smith Park, River’s Edge Park, and Piedmont Park.
Skatepark & Pump Track
This facility, which opened early 2026, includes a square-foot skatepark with street-style elements and offers a versatile layout suitable for all skill levels. The project also includes an asphalt pump track, expanding opportunities for all-wheel programming and events.
ADA Access is available for the facility via the Roanoke River Greenway (ADA parking is available near the Wasena Park playground).
