Discovery Center
The Discovery Center located on Mill Mountain is open to the public, offering educational exhibits, local information, and more. The center is commonly used for Environmental Education programs and features a small pond, beautiful wildflower garden, interactive educational/historical exhibits, and scenic views.
With the ability to be reserved for a wide range of special occasions, including birthday parties, weddings, dinner parties, and community events, the Discovery Center is a popular attraction atop Mill Mountain. More information about rentals.
Public Hours:
The Discovery Center is open to the public every day of the week. Hours are Thursday through Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Wednesdays from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Music on the Mountain
Enjoy free live music out on the lawn at the Discovery Center! Held in the fall and spring, Music on the Mountain events highlight a different musician each month. These events are free to attend, with crafts and activities for the whole family to enjoy and food and beverage available for sale.
