Eureka Recreation Center

The redeveloped Eureka Recreation Center opened to the public on Monday, June 15, 2026.

Fully renovated in 2026, the recreation center at Eureka Park has been a bustling community hub since the original building was constructed in the 1960s. The center boasts a large indoor gym with hardwood floors, restrooms, community room, and lounge. There is also a dedicated space for the P.L.A.Y. after school program. The renovated facility is the first in the City of Roanoke to utilize geothermal energy and solar panels, making it eligible for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.

Public Hours:

The Eureka Recreation Center is open to the public every day of the week. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and on Sundays from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Occasional changes to hours occur due to event rental, maintenance, and other circumstances – view alerts below for current status.

Facility Rentals:

Rentals of Eureka Recreation Center will open in September 2026. Rentals of Eureka Park’s outdoor spaces and picnic shelter are available beginning June 20, 2026.
