The Carvins Cove Paddle Race!
Crash the Cove is a unique opportunity to race your fellow paddlers on beautiful Carvins Cove! Hosted by PlayRoanoke in collaboration with Revolution Rowing, this event invites you to load up your kayak, canoe, or paddleboard and race the two-mile sprint or the five-mile distance course.

2026 Event Schedule
8:00 AM – Check-in opens
9:00 AM – Mandatory race meeting
9:30 AM – Simultaneous race start for sprint and distance races
12:30 PM – Results, Awards
2:00 PM – Event concludes
Races will be timed, and winners will be broken into gender, age, and boat classes.

- Junior (15 – 18)
- Open (18 – 55)
- Masters (55+)
