Countryside Park is the newest addition to Roanoke Parks and Recreation’s parks. Formerly a golf course, the park boasts state-of-the-art playground equipment. The playground features inclusive play equipment, such as a wheelchair accessible ship swing. Park guests can enjoy larger-than-life wind chimes and other musical features while enjoying lunch at the picnic shelter. One of the most popular features at Countryside Park is the Neos electronic gaming system that keeps children moving as they chase a colored light pattern.
Follow the three-quarter mile loop of the Lick Run Greenway through Countryside Park to find fitness stations. You’ll find exercises for your legs, arms, and abs. Try walking or jogging along the greenway and try all of them!
