Mountain View Park
Home to the Historic Fishburn Mansion, Mountain View Park is a beautiful public space nestled in an active neighborhood. Nearly four acres of grounds surround the mansion, including a decorative lawn and spacious garden. The property includes multiple historic outbuildings, such as an old carriage barn that has been converted into a greenhouse and former “chicken house.”
In 1955, J.B. Fishburn donated his home to the City of Roanoke, with the stipulation that it would be solely used for public recreation purposes. Today, the mansion and grounds of Mountain View Park are home to many community recreation programs including fitness, wellness, art, and more.
