Enjoy Live Music at the Mansion
The upcoming Fishburn Mansion Music Sessions, co-hosted by Friends of the Blue Ridge and Friends of Mountain View, are the perfect opportunity to enjoy an evening in this historic home. The 4-part series runs monthly September through December and kicks off with Nashville-based artist Cole Ritter on September 3!
Try Something New
Mahjong at the Mansion is an incredibly popular program, offering multiple series dates this fall. These programs are a great opportunity to learn this wildly popular and strategic game in a relaxed, beginner-friendly setting. Led by Katherine & Meredith, instructors for Star City Mahjong, this instructional series walks you through everything you need to know – no experience required!
Experience a bit of Whimsy
What’s a mansion without a ballgown? The enchanting Whimsical Wishes characters are returning to the mansion on September 19 for a 2010s themed Princess Party! Join these magical princesses for an unforgettable experience and lasting memories.
Take a Guided Tour
If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about this historic home and take a guided tour, we’re pleased to offer monthly opportunities! Each tour is approximately one hour and offers details about the home itself, the family that occupied it, and the significance the mansion plays in the community today.
If you’re not able to join for a guided tour, you can still enjoy the home and park grounds. The Fishburn Mansion is open to the public every Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and on Fridays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The grounds of Mountain View Park are open to the public every day from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Be aware that closures do occur periodically due to special events and private rentals. Please call ahead (540-853-2679) if you’d like to confirm before your visit.
