DAY TRIP: Barter Theatre Matinee “Always…Patsy Cline”

Join us on April 19, 2026 as we travel to Abingdon, VA. to see a heart-warming musical matinee show, at the historical Barter Theatre, “Always…Patsy Cline”. Based on a true story, the play tells the story of the legendary country singer through her music and friendship with one of her closest fans, Louise Seger. Tap your toes and sing along to your favorite songs! Performance time: 2 hours. Prior to the show, we will lunch at Delta Blues BBQ restaurant on authentic Tennessee-style BBQ and fixins’.

PRICE PER PERSON: $92.00. The full amount is due when the reservation is made. 

PRICE INCLUDES: (1) admission ticket to the play- superior seats, roundtrip parks and recreation transit van transportation, and a tour host. Lunch is at your own expense.

DEPARTURE TIME AND LOCATIONS: The van will depart at 11:30 AM, City of Roanoke Public Works Bldg. 1802 Courtland Rd, NE. Return time to Roanoke is around 7:00 PM

Cancellation Policy: This trip requires a minimum number of paid participants by the registration deadline. If the trip is canceled due to low enrollment, all participants will receive a full refund. If you cancel your reservation before the registration deadline, you will also receive a full refund. Cancellations made after the registration deadline will result in a 50% cancellation fee.
