Youth Softball

Roanoke’s Youth Softball league is organized by the region’s local recreation clubs. Your child’s recreation club will be determined based on where you live in the City of Roanoke. Roanoke’s Youth Softball season takes place each year with practices starting in March and games beginning in April.

Players must be between ages 5 and 18 as of Dec. 31 of the current season. Participants who are 18 years old must be enrolled in high school. Age divisions include: 8U (5, 6, 7 & 8 years old), 10U (9 & 10 years old), 12U (11 & 12 years old) and 16U (13, 14, 15 & 16 years old). 

 

YOUTH Baseball

Roanoke’s Youth Baseball league is organized by the region’s local recreation clubs. Your child’s recreation club will be determined based on the school he or she attends in the city of Roanoke. Roanoke’s Youth Baseball season takes place each year starting in March. Youth baseball registrations usually open in mid-February and will be taken until a deadline set by each individual recreation club. However, players may be added to a team roster up until the first game of the season while roster spots are available.

Players must be between ages 5 and 18 as of May 1 of the current season.
Exceptions: Five (5) year olds must turn five on, or before, April 1st.
*Participants who are 18 years old must be enrolled in high school. *

Age divisions include:
Tee Ball (5 & 6 years old), Coach Pitch (7 & 8 years old), PeeWee (9 & 10 years old), Little (11 & 12 years old), Junior (13, 14 & 15 years old), Senior (16, 17, & 18 years old). 

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Youth Baseball and Youth Softball registrations usually open in mid-October and will be taken until a deadline set by each individual recreation club. Additionally, players may be added to a team roster up until the first game of the season (while roster spots are available).
