Spending time outdoors offers countless benefits, from reducing stress levels and improving mental health to boosting your immune system and improving sleep. However, it can be extra challenging to get outside in the wintertime, so we’re here to help motivate! Our winter adventures are just what you need to get out in the cold.

There’s no better way to end a winter hike than with a float in the warm springs!
Take a Hike
Our group hikes are the perfect way to warm up outdoors no matter the weather. Options include Thursday morning hikes, Woody Tree ID Hike, and a Winter Bird Hike! For an extra rewarding adventure, sign up for a Winter Wonderland Hike & Warm Spring Float – you won’t regret treating yourself to this experience! Check out all Winter Hikes
Challenge Yourself
Every January, hundreds of Roanokers take on the 100 Miler challenge. The goal is simple – complete 100 miles in 100 days. You can get those miles by walking, biking, swimming, or any other form of exercise. There are group outings if you’re the social type, or you can log miles solo. We provide you with an exercise log and offer weekly prizes and motivation throughout the program. Learn more and take on the challenge!
