As partners with local, volunteer operated recreation clubs, the City of Roanoke Parks and Recreation offers flag football, tackle football, and cheerleading during the fall. The season typically starts practice in August, with games beginning in September. To register, contact the recreation club that services the area in which you live.
Tackle football registration will be open through July 28, 2023.
Must be a City of Roanoke resident to register.

6U – ages 5 – 6
8U – ages 7 – 8
10U – ages 9 and 10
12U – ages 11 and 12
17U – ages 13 – 17

Age is determined as of October 1 of the current season with the following exception: Five-year-old’s must turn five (5) by August 1st of the current season.
