The City of Roanoke is making room for both quiet and traditional pickleball play!
Beginning September 15, 2026, quiet pickleballs will be required at courts located in Shrine Hill, Raleigh Court, Eureka, and Belmont parks to help reduce noise and maintain quieter spaces for all to relax and enjoy.
Courts are open for traditional pickleball play at Fallon Park’s six dedicated pickleball courts, and at Highland, Huff Lane, and Preston parks, where pickleball lines have been added to the tennis courts.
Signage is being installed to inform users of the new quiet equipment requirements at Shrine Hill, Raleigh Court, Eureka, and Belmont parks. Quiet pickleballs will be available for use at each of the quiet pickleball court locations. Players are also welcome to bring balls that fall under USA Pickleball’s, Quiet Category. Quiet pickleball violations at these four park sites may result in ejection or suspension of park privileges.
