Day Trip:  JOLO Vineyard Wine Tasting & Lunch & Chocolate Factory visit

Join us as we indulge our senses on this leaf-peeping, chocolate nibbling, wine tasting, and lunching adventure! We will take in the full fall color as we head south along scenic backroads to just inside North Carolina. We will stop in Meadows of Dan and visit Nancy’s Chocolates factory to taste (and purchase!) her famous homemade chocolate fudge and truffles.  

Our destination is JOLO Winery, located in picturesque Mt. Pilot, NC. Opening in 2010 and named for the owner’s two sons, Joey and Logan, this family has been making exceptional wine from the Yadkin Valley’s unique, billion-year-old terroir since 2010.
Awards include TripAdvisor: One of the best 7 wineries outside of California, top 100 best brunch spots in America, just to name a few. We will be treated to a 7-pour wine tasting, and then lunch in their restaurant on their award-winning patio.  Wine tasting is included in your registration fee; lunch is at your own expense. Note: participants must be 21 years or older.

10:30AM          Arrive at Nancy’s Chocolate Factory 
11:30AM          Depart for JOLO Vineyards 
12:00PM          Arrive JOLO Vineyards – Wine Tasting
1:00PM            Lunch JOLO Vineyards End Post Restaurant Patio
2:30PM            Depart for Roanoke
4:00PM            Arrive Roanoke

PRICE PER PERSON: The full amount is due when the reservation is made.  Minimum 8 people.

PRICE INCLUDES: Round-trip parks and recreation transit van transportation, 7-flight wine tasting event, chocolate factory visit, and a tour host. Lunch is at your own expense.

DEPARTURE TIME AND LOCATIONS: The van will depart at 9:00 AM, City of Roanoke Public Works Bldg. 1802 Courtland Rd, NE. Return time to Roanoke is around 4:00 PM

CANCELLATION POLICY: The trip is based on a minimum number of paid participants by registration date. Should we cancel the trip, a full refund will be given. If you cancel before the posted registration date, a full refund will be issued. After the registration date, there will be a 50% service fee collected.
