Grand Caverns Live Park Tour- Grottoes, VA
Join us on August 29, 2026 as we take the T+T van to the small community of Grottoes, VA.
We will tour Grand Caverns Live Cave Park, formerly known as Weyer’s Cave, located in the central Shenandoah Valley where we will enjoy a 70-minute guided tour. A limestone cavern, Grand Caverns claims the distinction of being America’s oldest show cave, in operation since 1806. In 1973, the National Park Service designated the cave a National Natural Landmark in recognition of its shield formations and other features, such as flowstone, stalactites, and stalagmites.
Lunch – Prior to caving, we will have lunch at The River Burger Bar (also serving salads, sandwiches) in Waynesboro, VA.
PRICE PER PERSON: $69.00. The full amount is due when the reservation is made. Lunch is at your own expense.
PRICE INCLUDES: Grand Cavern admission ticket, roundtrip parks and recreation transit van transportation, and a tour host.
DEPARTURE TIME AND LOCATIONS: The van will depart at 9:30AM City of Roanoke Public Works Bldg. 1802 Courtland Rd, NE. Return time to Roanoke is around 5:30PM or later.

CANCELLATION POLICY: The trip is based on a minimum amount of paid participants. Should we cancel the trip; a full refund will be given. If you cancel prior 7 days prior departure a full refund will be issued. Less than 7 days there will be 50% service fee collected.
