Life can be so hectic we end up running through our day in a blurr! Join Alex Watkins in slowing down by learning three meditation techniques to calm the mind, balance the nervous system and reduce stress. The techniques learned are rooted both in tradition and current scientific study, showing the many benefits of a meditation practice. The practice is simple, using only the breath, making it accessible for even the busiest lifestyle. We will also discuss mindfulness stress-reduction techniques to work into your day. This class is ideal of those just beginning meditation or those looking to refresh their practice.
Please Note: Ages 16+ are welcome! Class will be up 2 flights of stairs. Participants will sit on chairs, but may bring cushions if the floor is preferable.
