Join us on Saturday, July 22, 2023, as we travel to Clarksville, VA, for LakeFest.
Voted by the Southeast Tourism Society as “One of the Top 20 Festivals in The Southeast.” This festival attracts visitors for the hot air balloons, arts and crafts, live entertainment including music and dancing, great local and ethnic food, the traditional “Gathering of the Boats” and fireworks show in the late evening, antique auto show and sand sculptors. Vendors line the street for the juried arts & crafts show with a wide choice of food. Helicopter rides are also available. Clarksville on the Lake is Virginia’s only lakeside town.
PRICE PER PERSON: $50. Full amount is due when reservation is made.
PRICE INCLUDES: Round trip Parks & Rec. transportation, a visit to Lakefest in the Clarksville area and a tour host.
DEPARTURE TIMES AND LOCATIONS: The bus will depart at 7:00 a.m. from the overflow parking area at Valley View Mall, Roanoke, VA (this is between Belk and i-581); at 7:30 a.m. from Food Lion, Rocky Mount, VA; and at 8:00 a.m. from Food Lion, Bassett Forks, VA. Return time is around 7:00 p.m.
CANCELLATION POLICY: The trip is based on a minimum number of paid participants by July 7, 2023. If we cancel the trip, a full refund will be given. If you cancel before July 7, a refund less $30 will be given. After July 7, 2023, there will be no refunds.
