Forest Bathing Workshop
connect with the forest, enrich your well-being
Join Trees Roanoke and Roanoke Urban Forestry for this exciting introduction to the practice of Forest Bathing or Shinrin-Yoku. Sponsored by Carilion Community Health and Outreach and our friends at Downshift, participants will learn how to tune their senses to connect with the forest, and how bridging this gap can help improve their mental and physical health. We'll provide guided yoga, meditation, as well as blood-pressure readings before and after the workshop.
Proceeds for this workshop will benefit the non-profit, Trees Roanoke, whose purpose is to plant new trees in the City of Roanoke. The suggested amount is $15 per person and will be accepted at the end of the program.
Please Note: This event is weather dependent, so please register for free and note that our rain date is October 28th in the case of bad weather. Please dress appropriately for the weather, bring a water bottle, and a yoga mat. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact us at 540-853-1027.
