Forest Bathing at Carvins Cove
Join Roanoke Urban Forestry for this exciting introduction to the practice of Forest Bathing or Shinrin-Yoku.
In collaboration with Carilion Community Health and Outreach, participants will learn how to tune their senses to connect with the forest, and how bridging this gap can help improve their mental and physical health. We’ll provide a guided walk, forest meditation and yoga, and optional blood-pressure readings before and after the workshop.
Instructor: Sam Matson, Urban Forestry Supervisor
