Participants then transition to mountain bikes for a 12 mile loop on Happy Valley, Schoolhouse, Enchanted Forest, and Arrowhead trails. Each summit has multiple group hike dates through City of Roanoke Parks and Recreation.  These will be formally guided hikes that are not included in the Roanoke 7 Summits registration fee, but for only $6 per hike, are a great chance to get out there with an experienced hiker, meet hiking buddies, and enjoy the energy of the group effort to get to each summit. Of course, if you prefer, you can also do each hike on your own.

Your official registration includes a t-shirt, consistent e-mail and blog posts with status updates, hiking routes, and extra motivation. And if you’re into free gear, all participants are entered into random drawings to win free giveaways throughout the 7 weeks.
