Blue Ridge Gravity D Cup Enduro Race Series

(18+, 14+ with an adult) The D Cup Enduro Downhill Race Series is a spring race series put on by Blue Ridge Gravity with support from Roanoke Parks and Recreation for all riding levels, beginner to pro. These spring training races make training for the travel summer races fun! For 2015, look for new additions, such as pre-race group rides, new trails, shuttle days, and even a clunker bike. Stay tuned! The race format is ride up, race down, no entry fee, no red tape, just fun, pure racing with your friends! The dates listed below are in conjunction with Roanoke Parks and Recreation. The entire series also includes North Mountain on 2/1/15, Sulphur Ridge on 2/21/15, and Jabberwocky and Hairball on 3/1/15.Registration is available online in advance or the day of the race.

Mill Mountain Mayhem 10K Trail Race

(13+) The 7th Annual Mill Mountain Mayhem 10K will corkscrew around and to the top of the City’s favorite outdoor playground. This race will challenge the best of the best, and has been voted the best and hardest trail run in the area the past two years. As a part of the Roanoke Non Ultra Trail Series (RNUTS), this event will be timed and managed in conjunction with Mountain Junkies, LLC.

Wednesday Night Disco Mountain Bike Race Series

(Ages 10+) This award winning race series has quickly made its way up the list as one of Virginia’s grooviest mountain bike events. Bring your fat tired friend and ride hump day away as you pedal through one of Roanoke’s finest trail systems. There will be categories for beginners all the way to expert riders, so don’t be shy. Grab your bike and get your groove on.

Fishburn Youth Mountain Biking Race Series

(Ages 2-14) We are teaming up with East Coasters Bike Shop and offering for the third year in a row a FREE mountain biking race series aimed at novice racers ages 2 to 14. Riders will compete on a short, spectator friendly course against kids of their own age and skill level. Medals will be awarded to the top three boys and girls in each age group, and at the end of the series an overall male and female winner will be named for each group. Conquer the Cove Marathon and 25K Trail Races

(16+) For the fifth year running, the Roanoke Valley’s only trail marathon invades Carvins Cove. This spectacular marathon and 25K race gives participants the chance to see 80% of the trails that wind through the area’s largest municipal park. Both race distances boast a massive amount of climbing, especially the marathon which includes 3,500 feet of elevation gain throughout the course. This event will be timed and managed in conjunction with Mountain Junkies, LLC.
