Sunset Canoeing at Carvins Cove, September 19, 2014
Spend the evening enjoying the beauty and peacefulness of the Carvins Cove reservoir at sunset as you unwind from a hard week of work. Watch as the bright colors of the sunset illuminate and fill the sky amongst the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. All transportation, leadership, and equipment are provided. Participants must be able to swim. No canoeing experience is necessary.

Learn to SUP: Women’s Excursion, September 24th, 2014Sarah SUP
Spend an evening on the river learning fundamentals of Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) and river safety with other like-minded adventurous women.  This exciting beginner clinic prepares you to paddle on your own and familiarizes you will discuss proper stance for balance and control, essential paddle strokes and other techniques. All equipment, leadership and transportation are provided.  Participants must be able to swim.

Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga, September 25th, 2014
Are you looking to take your love for SUP or yoga to the next level? Why not combine the two! You will experience the ultimate combination of balance and focus in a new setting while still practicing classic yoga poses and techniques. Our experienced instructor from Uttara Yoga Studio will help you learn the proper stance for balance and control on a stand-up paddleboard while exercising traditional yoga form and alignment. All equipment and leadership is provided. Prior Yoga experience is not necessary, but extremely beneficial. It is also strongly recommended you are able to swim.

Canoeing at Lake Moomaw, October 5th, 2014
Lake Moomaw is located in the heart of the Alleghany Highlands. Offering great mountain views and peaceful surroundings, Lake Moomaw is a great place to spend the day on the water. All transportation, leadership, and equipment are provided. Participants must be able to swim. No prior canoeing experience is necessary.

Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga, October 18th & 19th, 2014
Want to walk on water? Looking for a low impact way to cross-train? Come out to GO Fest and give SUP Yoga a try. It?s a fantastic way to improve your balance and core strength and a great recovery activity, especially after the Wild Gear Chase. Let our experienced Uttara Yoga Studio Instructor lead you through some relaxing and challenging moves. All equipment and leadership is provided. Prior Yoga experience is not necessary, but extremely beneficial. It is also strongly recommended you are able to swim.This program will be held at the GO Outside Festival at the Rivers Edge Sports Complex (North).

Fall Foliage Sea Kayak at Philpot, October 26th, 2014
Sea kayaking is an easy and fun sport that brings people together in a special setting. Join us as we spend a fun day of lake kayaking and fall foliage admiration at Philpott Lake near Rocky Mount. This beginner level trip will teach you the basics of paddling techniques, safety and equipment while you circle the lake and take in the view. This program fee includes transportation, equipment and leadership. You must be able to swim.
