After-Work Fishing Clinic-April 14th and May 21st
Come wet a line with line-minded fly fishermen and women after a long day of work. We will choose the best local river based on the conditions and the hatch so you can cast till your heart’s content as the sun sets on the day. Our fly fishing instructor will be on hand to help with knots, fly selection, casting and any other questions you may have.

Earth Day River Clean Up- April 23rd, 2015
(18+,10+ with adult) The Roanoke River is the lifeline of the Roanoke Valley, let’s show her some love today and help clean her up! Canoes, PFD’s, Trash bags, gloves and refreshments will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to wear bright colored clothing, long pants and sturdy shoes.

Chesapeake Bay-Sea Kayaking, May 22nd-25th
Historic Mathews County, VA holds one of the most productive estuaries on the bay. Beginners and experienced paddlers will explore the many treasures these western shore creeks and waterways hold. Prior to the trip, we will learn basic paddling techniques here, and you can take these skills out on the Mathews Blueway Water Trail and the bay itself. We will also visit the bay’s third oldest lighthouse, New Point Comfort, and enjoy wonderful Chesapeake Bay cuisine. All lodging, two meals per day (excluding dinners), equipment, transportation and leadership are provided.

Grandfather Mtn Weekend- August 8-9th, 2015
(18+, 12+ with adult) Spend the weekend in the beautiful High Country of North Carolina. We will stay in Pineola and take local day hikes around Grandfather Mountain, the Mile High Swinging Bridge and Linville Falls. August is a lovely time to visit the area as a number of wild flowers will be in bloom including: Pink Turtlehead, Spotted and Pale Jewelweed, and Evening Primrose. Breakfasts and lunches are included we will drive to Banner Elk for dinner.
